Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

Assist the physical therapist in carrying out treatment plans and exercises for patients
Monitor and document patient progress and report to the physical therapist
Assist patients with activities of daily living, exercises, and mobility as directed by the physical therapist
Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to improve their condition and prevent future injuries
Communicate effectively and coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team
Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED equivalent
Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program from an accredited institution
Minimum of 1 year experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant, preferably in a home health setting
Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Current CPR certification
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
