Sacred heart Jesuit Community (SHJC) is seeking a Licensed Vocation Nurse for our 95-bed facility, 31 beds are infirmary/SNF level, and the remaining 64 beds are assisted living.

SHJC is located in the hills of Los Gatos in the Santa Clara Valley and serves as the retirement community for the west coast Jesuit brothers and priests.

Under the general direction of the Director of Nursing, a Licensed Vocation Nurse with current license in the State of California acts as a leader and provides leadership and supervision to other staff.

Delivers direct care to the residents and serves as the role model in nursing practice on the shift. Must have skills for organizing, planning, and directing nursing care and delineating job responsibilities to support staff.

• Provide nursing care to residents according to their individualized plan of care and as directed.
• Document daily care provided to residents using Point Click Care.
• Oversees emergency situations that may occur in relationships to residents and/or staff on a particular shift.
• Providing care in a respectful manner.
• Administers medications and treatments ordered by the physician and completes the carrying out of physician orders.
• Maintains clinical practice of all staff members in accordance with Infection Control Standards.
• Must be able to communicate well in English both verbally and in writing.
• License required.
