Program Coordinator (Health Network Provider Relations)

CalOptima Health is seeking a highly motivated an experienced
Program Coordinator (Health Network Provider Relations) to join our team. The Program Coordinator (PC) will be responsible for performing functions and tasks related to Health Network Provider Relations, which includes researching policies, preparing reports, assisting with health network inquires and performing a wide variety of supporting tasks to assist in the department's compliance with regulatory and operational requirements/deadlines. The PC will be responsible for ensuring timely follow-ups on health network deliverables, reviewing and maintaining the department inbox and the Health Network Provider Relations folder and assisting with health network forums and meetings.

Duties & Responsibilities:


  • 95% Program Support
  • Participates in a missiondriven culture of highquality performance, with a member focus on customer service, consistency, dignity and accountability.
  • Assists the team in carrying out department responsibilities and collaborates with others to support short
- and long-term goals/priorities for the department.

  • Assists with updating, maintaining and ensuring that all health network requests via the department inbox are monitored and responded to timely.
  • Tracks and monitors health network reporting, deadlines and deliverables.
  • Prepares and provides adhoc reports.
  • Assists with the documentation and updating of internal workflows and desktop procedures.
  • Researches issues to assist with the resolution of health network inquiries and escalated member cases. Prepares meeting materials, assists with meeting setups and takes meeting minutes. 5%
  • Completes other projects and duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of health care administration experience required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position such as those listed above may also be qualifying.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Associate degree in business administration, healthcare administration or related field.
  • Medicare/Medi-Cal experience.

  • Hearing ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, and facetoface interactions.
  • Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting.
  • Lifting and moving objects, patients and/or equipment 10 to 25 pounds
