Commissioning Process Supervisor-
Location: Sabine Pass, Texas


The Commissioning Process Supervisor is a front-line position in the project delivery organization with responsibility & accountability for commissioning related activities.

While under the project this includes pre-commissioning & commissioning operations and ensuring the work is performed in conformance with the project objectives & requirements.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities:


  • Principal areas of responsibility are mechanical commissioning, testing, startup and initial operation of systems, subsystems, and equipment.
  • Follow all commissioning procedures in accordance with engineering & vendor equipment standards while monitoring process/equipment.
  • Coordinate & supervise activities where specialist suppliers are required within system job packages.
  • Ensure equipment & systems are prepared for precommissioning and commissioning scopes.
  • Assist with B Punch check sheets, RFTO Walk Down Punch, Notice of Energization, & PTN Final Walk Clear.
  • Communicate weekly progression reports for work conducted in their area(s) of responsibility.
  • Follow all SSH&E procedures, guidelines, including PTW (PermittoWork) and LOTO procedures.
  • Assist with commissioning SIMOPS phases (total of 7) in accordance with precommissioning and commissioning activities.
  • Monitor & assist disciplines with equipment calibrations, alignments, etc as specified in procedures and systems turnover packages.
  • Monitor & assist disciplines including but not limited to N2 purging, hydrocarbon sweeping, startup strainers, orifice plates, Commissioning spades, P&ID field checks, final inspections, etc.

Qualifications and Education:


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field or 57 years of related process supervisor experience with 10+ years of operations experience in LNG, refinery, petrochemicals, chemical, or power generation industries.
  • Strong commitment to the environment, health, & safety of everyone with the ability to lead by example.
  • Experience with LNG commissioning & daily operations is a plus.
  • Mechanically inclined with excellent trouble shooting & communication skills
  • Able to provide professional references if required.

Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to lift, push, & pull a minimum of 50lbs.
  • Ability to work in changing climate conditions.
  • Ability to work in close quarter: i.e., work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, & standing
  • Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines.
  • Ability to climb ladders, walk up & down stairs, and work at heights.

Reporting Requirements:
Reports directly to Commissioning Manager

$61, $74,339.97 per year
