Part-Time, Greenhouse Technician to be on-site at their facility in Mystic, CT.

This position will work approximately 20 hours per week.

Enko is searching for a highly collaborative, solutions-oriented
Part-Time, Greenhouse Technician to join the greenhouse team, performing daily tasks aimed to plant production for experimental use.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with the Greenhouse team to support weekly tasks including preparing soil and pots for planting, transplanting small seedling, harvest and threshing plants and seed cleaning.
• Complete routine logistic organization by assisting in shipping and receiving material, restocking of greenhouse and planting supplies.
• Provide housekeeping of several working areas and spaces including discarding plant and soil material according to required procedures, cleaning greenhouse benches and floors, and managing waste disposal.

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

• Restocking of greenhouse and planting supplies.
• Washing trays and planting utensils.
• Mixing soil.
• Filling pots for plantings.
• Discarding greenhouse assays.
• Vacuuming, soaping flood tables and greenhouses floors.
• Trash removal.
• Greenhouse screen, window, and drain cleaning.
• Seed harvesting and cleaning.
• Receiving and delivery of packages.

About You

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You are comfortable working in dusty, hot and humid greenhouse or growth chambers, responsibilities require contact with plants and soil.
• You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis.
• You have some previous green industry experience.
• You are open to a role that requires walking and standing 80% of the time.
• You are open to parttime work, approximately 20 hours a week.
