  • About The Role:
Supervise employees responsible for guarding site premises of a complex property. On a routine basis, monitors security team performance to ensure security requirements are met. Set policy for access control of the building. Report atypical situations to senior level management.

  • What You'll Do:
  • Promote positive public relations by ensuring security team is offering courteous service to all tenants, visitors, and guests.
  • Supervise security staff, assigns/monitors work assignments, and ensures training is provided in life safety system, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), first aid, and security operation center.
  • Work with human resources manager in handling issues related to security personnel. Act as consultant to human resources on other security related issues.
  • Responsible for hiring security staff personnel. Handle security scheduling and payroll functions.
  • Coordinate the control of access to buildings and monitor activities of visitors. Also, oversee the monitoring of building operations and tours of properties
  • Monitor building operations; investigates, report and maintain records of security related incidents occurring on property.
  • Arrange meetings between local fire department and tenants to inform tenants of local codes and fire procedures, etc.
  • Maintain ongoing communications with Property Manager, Building Operations Manager, and other building services related staff regarding site operations.
  • Lead security budget, monitor scheduling and time reporting functions, and maintain security training and scheduling records.
  • Provide leadership for emergency response at the property or site.
  • Maintain and update security manual and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain a tried understanding of all current building, fire and life safety code requirements to align with local and national regulations.
  • Ensure staff complete state registration requirements within 10 days of hire. Conduct followup and documents status of card every 30 days until received.
  • What You'll Need:
To perform this job successfully, an individual will need to perform each crucial duty satisfactorily.   • High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 3+ years prior security or law enforcement related experience with proven leadership ability. Prior experience as shift leader and supervisor preferred.
  • Meets local or national security staff certification requirements
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues and to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style.
  • Requires indepth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.
  • Ability to solve advanced problems and take care of a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrixbased multiindustry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Word Processing software; Excel spreadsheet software and Internet software.
  • Ability to walk/stand 8 hours per day, operate an extinguisher, lift 50 pounds, and effectively transport and adult in an evacuation chair or similar transportation equipment.
