- Assist in the production and purification of proteins for structural studies using FPLC and SEC methods.
- Perform QC on produced samples, including SDS-PAGE, western blotting, and SEC.
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of cell cultures and media for standard testing.
- Maintain laboratory notebook and other documentation in an orderly and accurate fashion for tracking work progress, experiments, and results.
- Provide a summary of written work updates and plans each week.
- Monitor inventory and ensure necessary supplies of stock are available for continuity of scientific work; maintain other equipment as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator and laboratory leadership.
- Education/Training: Work generally requires a bachelor's degree in botany, biology, zoology, psychology or other directly related scientific field.
- Experience: None required above education/training requirement. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team
- Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
- Experience in protein expression, purification and biochemistry.
