Designs and develops the hardware of computers and related systems or peripherals.
Job Duties:
Responsible for researching, designing, installing, and testing computer hardware components such as modems, routers, keyboards, microchips, circuit boards, and other components.
Updates existing equipment to ensure compatibility with changes in software requirements. Creates and follows blueprints when designing hardware components for optimal manufacturability. Troubleshoots prototype errors and modifies design as needed. Stays abreast of all modern technologies in the field. Communicates with developers and programmers on special projects that involve a multitude of expertise.Experience and Education:
Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
Qualifications:
Position Requirements:
You are a college junior, senior, or recent graduate majoring in Hardware Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related curriculum with a minimum GPA of 3.
Must be authorized to work in the US
Academic knowledge or previous internship experience in electrical hardware engineering
Knowledge or experience in schematic capture, layout design, and hardware bring up
Knowledge or experience in circuit design, simulation, and testing
Basic RF knowledge
Basic Python knowledge
Self-starter, analytical, tenacious problem solver
Rigorous attention to detail with focus on robustness, scalability, and quality of products
Passion for working with technology and excitement for creating high quality consumer technology product
Demonstrated ability to learn relevant technologies
Robust communication (written and verbal), collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Drive and eagerness to learn

Experience in previous software engineering internship or projects
