We are looking for a Principal Specialist, Contracts to provide contract administration support for the Secure Information Solutions portfolio.


This individual contributor will be responsible for the contract execution of current contracts, contract closeouts, executing non-disclosure agreements and other business agreements, maintaining contracts files for the program, administering open market orders, and supporting new business pursuits.


The current contracts are Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and FFP Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts for commercial products.


This position is tailored for a highly motivated, well-organized Contracts professional who embraces, thrives, and enjoys working in a dynamic and collaborative team environment.


The main responsibilities of this position:

  • This role will work as a collaborative team member with Program Management, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, and Legal to:
  • Interface with the customer on all contracting matters, and act as a liaison between the crossfunctional team and the customer
  • Advise program stakeholders of contractual rights and obligations and means to mitigate risks
  • Offer creative solutions to contractual or programmatic challenges during execution of the program
  • Employ change management practices and ensure continued compliance with company policies

Required Skills and Experience

  • Must have a minimum 5+ years professional experience with US Government or commercial contract.
  • Working experience with Government Contracts administration under FAR and DFARS and other government regulations
  • Experience in reviewing Request for Proposals (RFPs), proposals, and contractual documents for contractual requirements and identifying risks
  • Experience in leading proposal and contract negotiations to achieve business objectives while also ensuring customer needs are met
  • Experience in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience
    or **an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
    or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.
  • Excellent analytical and solutions development skills
  • Experience with contract financial structures, pricing strategies, policy & procedure and compliance principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (primarily Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Aero defense/commercial industry preferred.
