- Help identify risk and impact to relevant coverage area to prioritize areas of focus
- Execute and lead aspects of assurance activities (e.g., audits, continuous monitoring, closure verification) to assess risk and formulate a view on the control environment
- Facilitate conversations with stakeholders on risks, their impact and how well they are managed in a clear, timely and structured manner
- Assist in managing multiple deliverables in line with team priorities
- Solicit and provide feedback and participate in formal and on-the-job training to further develop self and peers
- At least 4 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role preferably in either auditing capital markets/risk management or working in risk management in a bank or broker/dealer-regulated environment.
- Understanding of business line, financial products, risk management, capital planning, current market environment, and key regulations relevant to coverage area
- Strong understanding of audit principles, methodology, tools and processes (e.g., risk assessments, planning, testing, reporting and continuous monitoring)
- Strong control mindset and ability to identify controls and processes as part of the audit planning cycle
- Ability to identify and analyze multiple data sources to inform point of view
- Ability to clearly document the results of work performed
- Ability to ask meaningful questions, understand various viewpoints and adapt messaging accordingly
- A commitment to practicing inclusive behaviors
- The individual should be self-motivated, able to work independently, resolve challenging issues with innovative ideas, and demonstrates strong teamwork and communication skills

We're seeking someone to join our team as a Director on Capital Planning audits, covering Risk Identification, Scenario Design, Stress Losses, and Independent Process Validation.
In the Audit division, we provide senior management an objective and independent assessment of the Firm's internal control environment for risk management and governance.
This is a Director-level position within Business Audit, which is responsible for inspecting controls in front, middle and back offices.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $75,000 and $130,000 per year at the commencement of employment.
However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
