- Care of hospitalized, fragile, and immunocompromised patients that includes those with special needs.
- Regional safety net clinic serving all underserved populations in neighboring counties in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky, as well as across the country and globe.
- Supervise safe and effective delivery of oral health in all clinical settings, as evidenced by patient family feedback, revenue metrics and staff and patient safety reports.
- Provide cutting edge evidence-based clinical and didactic training for residents, as supported by resident feedback and external validation measures such as In-service exams, board certification rates and board exam performance.
- Provide integral support for all hospital-based Divisions and ensuring oral health is optimal for all hospitalized patients.
- Perform impactful and sound clinical-based research to improve patient-based outcomes.

- Building a divisional research portfolio that includes an optimal blend of basic, clinical, translational and outcomes research
- Enhancing the division's ability to successfully compete for extramural programmatic funding.
- Advising faculty on yield from research related to faculty development and future external funding opportunities.
- Ensuring research quality and compliance.
- Facilitating world-class professional clinical and educational programming
- Supervision, review and outcomes assessment of the Advance Education in Pediatric Dentistry Program
- Promotes continuing education programs for all Hospital professionals, including hospital teaching rounds and lectures.

The Division of Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics seeks a dynamic and innovative division director to fill the Robert Creedon Endowed Chair.
The division serves a two-fold primary mission:
The division's long-term goals are to:
The division is internationally recognized for clinical and educational excellence in; Management of hospitalized patients, non-pharmacologic and pharmacologic behavior guidance, procedural sedation and practice simulation-based training of residents.
For the past 10 years, the division has been a leading clinical division at Cincinnati Children's in terms of patient encounters, averaging close to or exceeding 30,000 visits each year.
In 2019, the division was relocated to a $3 million new clinical space specifically designed for Dentistry with 12 hygiene/treatment chairs, three dedicated orthodontic chairs and two in-office general anesthesia suites.
Additionally, there is a cone beam computer tomography (CBCT), digital nitrous oxide plumbing and a dedicated medication room with pyxis for procedural sedation workups.
With planned/continued expansion in areas such as community access, and school-based care, the division presents an outstanding base upon which a new leader can build.
The division director position is supported by the Robert Creedon Endowment in honor of the first Pediatric Dental Chair in the United States.
