You are here: / Jobs / Lead Barista The Lead Barista position is at an internal corporate office setting at a family friendly software company in the Lexington, MA area (cafe not open to the public). All drinks are gratis so, theres no exchange of money and no tipping. Theres room to create/explore with the drip program, adding espresso drinks, cold brew, iced tea and seasonal offerings. Experience on a Slayer espresso machine & Mahlkonig grinders are a plus but not necessary. The position is full time, Monday-Friday, with no weekends. Occasional late closures (7/8pm) for special events.

**Requirements:**

Lead or supervisory-level experience in specialty coffee, hospitality, and/or customer service industry

Significant specialty coffee barista experience required (1-3 years on the bar)

Facility with dialing in espresso to taste

Demonstrate strong milk texture and latte art skills

Enthusiasm and passion for coffee and community

Tactful and thoughtful communication skills both oral and written

Demonstrates ability to ensure company policies and health/safety standards are followed

Self-sufficient and motivated; take initiative

Ability to work quickly and efficiently

Enjoy working on a team and collaborating as a team player

Fully vaccinated and boosted for COVID-19

**Duties**

Head barista

Coordination with the head chef and kitchen staff for collaborative work and to assist when needed in the main dining room. Food service experience is a plus.

Espresso and bar training support with staff to maintain a high standard of product and service

Support and work in harmony with our small staff

Schedule staff

Inventory and ordering of paper goods, coffee, & dairy
