Description

Duties:


  • Oversees and manages a variety of administrative programs in areas such as awards administration, training, performance management, position management, personnel actions, and related administrative support services.
  • Reviews or develops staffing documentation for vacancy announcements, provides advice on personnel and staffing actions submitted by managers, and serves as a liaison between the Human Resources (HR) Office and HR Business Partners.
  • Collects data and creates and maintains databases that reflect the status of administrative requirements and various items of interest to management to provide accurate, timely custom reports. Updates managers on the status of actions.
  • Develops and delivers updates and status of reports and correspondence to managers, and fosters understanding and acceptance of findings and recommendations.
  • Coordinates and oversees activities for the GS and SES leadership, supports the Agency/Center calls for various actions, makes recommendations to management, and follows Agency/Center guidelines and schedules.
  • Resolves complex organizational problems and develops recommendations by gathering information to identify and analyze issues.
  • Reviews administrative directorate products to ensure timely submission, proper format, adherence to criteria, and responsible for keeping managers informed of policy or administrative requirements changes and assuring management adherence.
  • Assists management in determining training needs, defining and recommending training sources and requirements, and reviewing training requests.

Qualifications:


  • Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.

To qualify for GS-11, you must have:

  • a) One year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level
  • Reviewing administrative products to ensure timely submission, proper format, and adherence to given criteria;
  • Performing administrative management functions that fulfill organizational requirements to secure adequate control of deadlines, progress reports, and databases;
  • Collecting, reviewing, and/or analyzing data in various databases.

OR
b) Completed all requirements for a doctoral degree (i.e., Ph.
D. or equivalent) in an appropriate field

OR
c) Completed 3 full academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.
D. degree or equivalent doctoral degree in an appropriate field

OR
d) LL.M., if related

OR
e) Have an equivalent combination of experience and graduate study as discussed in a), b), c) and d) above-
Education:All degrees must have been received in the year of, or any year subsequent to the original date of accreditation.
