Imperial Social Pedagogical Specialist (m/f/d) for a Transitional Residential Group for Unaccompanied Minor Asylum Seekers (UMA) in Landshut Wanted


Are you looking for a diverse job in social work? We are seeking pedagogical specialists to join our newly forming team for our transitional residential group for unaccompanied minors within the KJH Bernsteinhof.

The group will provide care for up to eight young people between the ages of 15 and 17 who are in need of clearing and placement (§42 SGB VIII).

The KJH Bernsteinhof also houses two other therapeutic residential groups, allowing for collegial exchange and mutual support among all team members.

The pedagogical specialists will work from 1pm to 9pm, 365 days a year. In addition, there will be German language instruction provided by an internal DaF teacher during the week.

The main tasks will include ensuring adequate basic care (food, clothing, hygiene, medical care, etc.), as well as promoting the physical, psychological, emotional, and cognitive development of the young people through individual and group work.

The specialists will also assist with daily tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and accompany the young people to important appointments (doctor, authorities, follow-up support, etc.).

They will also support the young people in actively engaging in leisure activities and promote cooperation with social, community, and institutional resources.
