    POSITION SUMMARY The Patient Access Supervisor position is a supervisory position for the Patient Access area.

    The Patient Access Supervisor will serve as a leader in the area and will be responsible to provide functional guidance, direction, and leadership to Patient Access Services staff.

    Accountable for the facilitation of timely access to care for patients. ##### # Responsible for registering and admitting patients to the hospital for inpatient or outpatient procedures.

    This includes but is not limited to collecting accurate and complete demographics in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner by correctly using the computer system.

    This person is also responsible to provider information to all customers, patients, and co-workers as appropriate based on current regulation.

    # The Patient Access Supervisor will be back up to the Patient Registration Manager during any absence. # MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Licenses and Certifications Required Educational Requirements Experience Requirements Requires minimum 1 year supervisory/management experience in business environment Strongly prefers 1 year healthcare experience Special Skills or Training Requirements Requires knowledge of requirements for billing, government, and regulatory compliance Requires thorough knowledge of ADT system functionality Requires strong customer service skills Requires the ability to facilitate and lead teams Requires ability to communicate sensitive issues with all levels of employees/management Requires the ability to take initiative and meet objectives Requires the ability to plan and manage the utilization of resources Requires a high level of interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills Requires effective written and verbal communication skills Requires ability to travel between Trinity Health locations Requires up-to-date clinical knowledge to perform responsibilities effectively Requires ability to perform 24 hour on call support
