Position Summary:

Provides HR and recruitment support to the field units, while providing project management support for corporate and regional initiatives.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Fully involved in the fullcycle recruitment process:
  • Drafting and placing employment ads
  • Scheduling interviews
  • Communicating with hiring managers on the status of open requisitions
  • Complying with all ACTS recruiting and hiring policies and procedures
  • Recruits for open requisitions as directed.
  • Conducts background checks for all applicants in assigned regions. Responsible for deciding to accept or reject applicants based on thorough knowledge and understanding of the hiring criteria.
  • Reviews background screens daily to ensure that checks meet company requirements and compliance with policy escalating to recruiter and/or HR manager when additional information is needed.
  • Resolves noncompliance issues with background check vendor as quickly as possible to ensure timely clearances.
  • Coordinates with background check vendor regarding any ongoing discrepancies.
  • Provides back up support for payroll and HRIS functions.
  • Helps build applicant sources by researching and contacting colleges outplacement agencies, recruiters and internet sites.
  • Ensures that weekly, monthly and adhoc reports and projects are completed accurately and on time.
  • Assists with orientation and on boarding of new employees as needed.
  • Participants in onsite and offsite job fairs.
  • Manages special projects as assigned.

Education:


  • Associates degree in related field required
  • Bachelors from a fouryear college or university preferred

Work Experience:


  • 25 years experience

Job Skills:


  • Strong administrative skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact well with multiple departments as required; must be able to effectively and professionally communicate with management and staff as well as demonstrate sound judgment and reasoning skill
  • Must be able to use independent thought to analyze data and make decisions
  • Must have strong computer skills and show proficiency with Microsoft Office software
  • Must be highly organized and have superior time management skills.
  • Must take direction well.

Communication Skills:


  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:


  • Employee must have a confirmed 10year background check (10 year listed; 5 year verified employment history verification or FBI fingerprint check for SIDA applicant purposes).

Travel:


  • 20%
