Midland Financial Controller - Hybrid

CSG is collaborating with a large global organization that specializes in mining and recycling machinery manufacturing. They are currently expanding their team in Cologne due to an increase in workload.

This position is part of the Controlling team and primarily focuses on controlling and auditing the organization's international subsidiaries.

Responsibilities:

Assist in investment controlling for subsidiaries and newly established companies
Collaborate in developing an audit concept with a focus on continuous improvement and sharing best practices
Prepare, implement, and evaluate audits
Optimize controlling tools, including setting up data structures and expanding existing reports in Jedox and Power BI
Create budgets and forecasts, and assist in preparing monthly and annual financial statements
Analyze deviations and propose alternative courses of action

Requirements:

Completed studies in business administration, finance, controlling, or a related field
Additional qualifications such as further training in controlling or certification as a controller are advantageous
Relevant professional experience in controlling, preferably in international mechanical engineering or a similar industry
Knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis
Experience with internal auditing is a plus
Ability to analyze complex data and derive strategic recommendations
Enjoy working on diverse tasks and a wide range of topics
Motivated to optimize processes and drive change
Fluent in German and English
Independent, analytical, and detailoriented work style
Strong communication and teamwork skills
High IT affinity, knowledge of databases is beneficial
