Description

Duties:


  • Provide expertlevel recognition, evaluation, and control of fall hazards in scientific, construction and support services including but not limited to fall surveys of roofs, scaffolds, lifts, and fixed ladders.
  • Manage all aspects of fall protection program and inspect fall protection equipment and PPE.

  • Merit applicants must meet timeingrade/band requirements, as applicable
  • Satisfactory completion of a preemployment medical examination)

Qualifications:


  • To qualify, applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS13 (ZA-III at NIST) level.

Specialized experience is defined as:

Managing and implementing safety and occupational health programs with a focus on fall protection in a scientific and construction environment

Experience designing and delivering safety training
-
Experience in hazard abatement with an emphasis on fall protection systems and materials handling
-
Experience in the inspection and evaluation of safety equipment with an emphasis on fall protection systems and materials handling

Education:


Qualifications are based upon meeting specialized experience only. Education cannot be used to qualify for this position.
