    Description
    S.S. Papadopulos & Associates, Inc. (SSP&A)


    is currently seeking an entry level Staff Engineer to work in our Boulder, Colorado, office to conduct technical environmental assessments, prepare design documents and provide field support for environmental remediation and investigation projects involving soil and groundwater contamination.

    As a Staff Engineer and an integral part of our team the selected candidate will be responsible for the following:

    Assisting project manager(s) and senior technical staff by preparing environmental reports, work plans, performing data evaluations, tabulating and mapping of data, and compiling supporting documentation.

    Providing field support for investigation and remediation projects involving soil, groundwater, surface water, and wastewater.

    Course work or work experience in design and implementation of soil and groundwater remediation projects using novel technologies and techniques.

    Interacting with clients and assisting senior staff with company business development activities.

    Qualifications :


    Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering with 0-3 years of professional experience or Master's degree with 0-2 years of professional experience in Environmental Engineering.

    Willing and able to travel to jobsites in Colorado and throughout the US. Typical travel outside of Colorado is for 1 to 2 weeks and may include weekend travel.

    Required skills and abilities:
    Strong technical writing skills and effective interpersonal skills with co-workers, and subcontractors.
    Course work or work experience in design of remediation projects.
    Outdoor work experience and be willing to work in all weather conditions.
    Detail oriented, and able to document field observations clearly, concisely, and thoroughly.
    Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    Enthusiasm, willingness to pitch in on a variety of tasks, and "do what it takes" attitude.
    Experience with MS Office and one or more of the following:
    GIS (ESRI or QGIS)
    CAD; and
    Database software (Access or PostgreSQL)
    40-hour HAZWOPER training a plus.
    Programming experience a plus (R, Python or VB)

    Salary Range :
    Salary will be dependent upon experience, ranging $66,650 to $68,640 annually.
