    Staff Data Engineer

    Position Type: Contract

    Onsite Flexibility: 100% Remote

    Who Are You?

    You are an experienced Data Engineer with a strong understanding of a broad array of data systems and a knack for engineering scalable data pipelines. You sit at the nexus of Business Intelligence, Software Engineering, and Data Science, and are comfortable wearing each hat.

    What you'll be doing ...

    • Architect, implement, and manage scalable and reliable data pipelines to ingest, process, and distribute large volumes of data across client's platforms.
    • Collaborate with business analysts and other business stakeholders to develop and maintain the data models and schemas that support daily operations.
    • Optimize data storage and retrieval processes within the client's data warehouse(s), ensuring performance and scalability.
    • Ensure that the client's data handling practices comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
    • Continuously evaluate new technologies for data processing and analytics. Make recommendations to enhance data quality, efficiency, and scalability.
    • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, models, and workflows, sharing your with the team, contributing to our culture of learning.

    Requirements

    • 5+ years of professional experience working as a Data Engineer.
    • 8+ years of relevant professional software development experience.
    • A passion for software development and data with a positive mindset and can-do attitude.
    • A bias for extreme ownership, and a forensic attention to detail.
    • A deep commitment to the full range of the engineering discipline - design, documentation, and testing.
    • English Skills - Must be able to effectively communicate via written and spoken English.
    • Experience with CI/CD for React Native applications.
