Environmental Engineer/Scientist

This position requires a minimum of 5 years' experience managing and implementing environmental compliance programs at federal facilities.

This position requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or similar degree with strong research and quantitative analysis skills.

Duties Include:
o

Submitting Title V Air Permit applications, and current Pentagon SOP and mNSR permit amendments and modifications.
o

Emergency Planning and Community Rights-to-Know Act (EPCRA) Tier II and Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) reports.
o

Annual Air Emissions reports.
o

Solid Waste Information and Assessment report
o

Semi-Annual Fuel reports.
o

VPDES Annual Certification Statement and CWA 316(b) report.
o

Tank and compliance program inspections.
o

Monthly inspections of Hazardous Waste Satellite Accumulation Areas (SAA) and Central Accumulation Area (CAA) and chemical Inventory.
o

Hazardous Waste Contingency Plan.
o

Environmental Management Plans.
o

Regulatory compliance of USTs, ASTs, solid waste, hazardous waste, and recycling.
o

Stormwater Management (SWM) and Erosion Sediment Control (ESC) inspections.
o

Ozone Depletion Substances (ODS) compliance.
o

Wastewater renewal applications and audit support as needed for wastewater discharges covered by the Virginia Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (VPDES).

The position requires proficiency in technical writing, quantitative analysis, and interacting with a variety of people at various levels in an organization as well as good organizational skills, attention to detail at all times, management of multiple projects and activities, ability to delegate and manage tasks as needed, and work well with others on completing deliverables.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance.
