VulcanForms Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Newburyport, MA location.

Job Purpose


As a
Maintenance Technician at VulcanForms Inc.,
Newburyport, MA, you will be assigned to a variety of areas to support our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

You may troubleshoot mechanical machine failures by disassembly and inspection of machine components. You may be part of manufacturing maintenance and/or shipping and receiving. The role is dependent on the existing and growing business needs. Arwood Machine operates in an environmentally controlled, state-of-the-art facility committed to producing quality parts for our clients. We manufacture products for several industries, including aerospace, military and defense, satellite, and medical devices.


Key Accountabilities

  • Troubleshoot mechanical machine failures by disassembly and inspection of Machine components.
  • Install, repair, overhaul and maintain electronic, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical systems on manual and CNC machinery equipment.
  • Utilize technical documentation (prints, manuals, specifications, etc.) to aid in troubleshooting.
  • Perform preventive maintenance for facilities, industrial equipment, and machinery.
  • Dismantle equipment and machinery in order to identify, remove repair, and/ or replace damage or deteriorated components and reassemble equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to use hand power tools commonly used in the electrical, electronic, metal working and mechanical trades.
  • Provide guidance to other maintenance personnel.
  • Additional duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Solid understanding of OSHA Lockout Tagout Standard and Procedure.
  • Experience supporting machine maintenance.
  • Experience with shipping and receiving.

Preferred

  • 10hour OSHA Safety Certification.
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of standing or sitting.
  • Must use safety protection when and where required.
