THIS IS A PART TIME POSITION.

THIS IS A BILINGUAL POSITION. TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, APPLICANTS MUST BE FLUENT IN BOTH ENGLISH AND SPANISH.
Under general supervision, provides language interpretation services between clients and staff.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

Any combination of education or experience equivalent to graduation from High School. Must be fluent in both English and Spanish. A valid driver's license is required. Must be able to complete an interpreter assessment with a passing score of 80 or above.


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must speak English and Spanish clearly.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Professional interpreting training preferred. A minimum of one (1) year as a medical interpreter or equivalent professional interpreting experience preferred.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work requires limited physical effort primarily involving intermittent sitting, standing and walking.

This position requires the ability to effectively communicate verbally with clients and staff and may involve exposure to infectious diseases.
