Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration/HVAC Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining refrigeration systems in commercial settings. This is a part-time / on-call position with competitive pay and benefits.


Responsibilities:

• Repair, and maintain refrigeration systems, including air conditioning units, refrigerators, freezers, and ice machines
• Perform routine maintenance on refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with refrigeration systems using schematics and diagnostic equipment
• Replace or repair faulty components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, and valves
• Test refrigeration systems for leaks using pressure gauges and electronic leak detectors
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to extend the lifespan of refrigeration systems
• Respond to service calls in a timely manner and provide excellent customer service
• Keep accurate records of all repairs, maintenance tasks, and service calls

The exact amount and type of services needed may vary from time to time or location to location. This position requires
driving between locations, standing or walking the entire shift, and the use of stairs.

Experience:

• Proven experience as a Refrigeration Technician or similar role
• Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of HVAC/R systems
• Familiarity with refrigeration components, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and valves
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
• Excellent problemsolving skills to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to working with refrigerants
• Experience in field service is preferred
