Role and Scope of Position:
Performs varied and confidential secretarial and administrative work, requiring initiative, judgment and a broad knowledge of Company organization, policies, practices and procedures.

Essential Functions:
- Plans setup for and prepares correspondence, reports, records, speeches and various other materials, some of a complex and confidential nature, from source documents, shorthand or transcribing equipment.
- Proofreads and checks typing for accuracy; edits material for punctuation, grammar and spelling, some of which may be complex in nature and may be typed by others.
- Acknowledges correspondence, initiates inquiries and secures information; drafts and composes letters as directed.
- Prepares and processes various forms and reports such as time sheets, expense reports, authorizations for payment, purchase requisitions, vacation schedules, vehicle reports, etc.
- Obtains and assembles statistical and other information; compiles and computes data; prepares various important, regular and special reports, statements, summaries, tabulations and schedules, some of a complex or technical nature.
- Provides answers to callers concerning established Company policies associated with the work of the office or positions on public matters.
- Sets up and maintains confidential and critical records, files and manuals.
- Receives and distributes mail, prioritizing correspondence, investigating and following up as required.
- Receives visitors and responds to their inquiries.
- Arranges appointments, meetings and travel schedules; maintains calendar.
- Prepares reports, gathers material for inclusion in reports, presentations, or special assignments. Insures that data is complete and in proper format.
- Coordinates administrative/secretarial aspects of various programs, relative to Manager's involvement.
- Prepares and reviews documentation for budgets and forecasts from source documents.
- Acts for the Managerl in matters not requiring his/her presence and relieves the Manager of designated administrative details.
- May perform secretarial/clerical duties for others in addition, or in the absence of the assigned secretary.

Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
- Technical Knowledge/Skill:_
- Excellent typing skills
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) is required
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with all people
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential or sensitive matters
- Demonstrated ability/willingness to take initiative and ability to make sound judgement
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
- Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines, handle confidential and sensitive matters and follow through on assignments
- Education/ Experience:_
- High school diploma with specialization in business courses or the equivalent
- Experience_:
- Four (4) of related administrative experience
Compensation and Benefits:
- Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is $64,230.00 to $71,370.00, plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of benefits.

- Certification in secretarial science preferred
Working Conditions:
- Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
- Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
