Cookielab is Insomnia Cookie's experiential concept store designed to let Insomniacs (our Customers) peek inside our creative process and do some "cookievation" of their own Located in the Italian Market neighborhood of South Philly, our store is part science lab, part speakeasy, part event space and is a unique experience unlike no other. Presently we are seeking a guest-centric, outgoing
Assistant General Manager to join our flagship property and help continue our growth and success.


Comp & Sweet Position Perks:

Job Duties & Position Focus:


  • Create a customer centric culture and drive excitement around building a new brand.
  • Hire, train, develop, and retain great talent.
  • Drive B2B and community sales opportunities.
  • Lead CookieLab and Wharton St store's success as the ManageronDuty during scheduled days when General Manager is not present.
  • Support General Manager with ordering, inventory control and scheduling.
  • Maintain organization of all equipment, freezers, prep areas, and dry storage.
  • Provide onsite guidance, accountability and leadership during large events that are held in our private event space.

What we seek:


  • 2+ years of restaurant and/or retail management experience
  • 1+ year of experience as a restaurant or store trainer
  • 1 year of prior experience with managing an event space
  • Experience leading a team of 20+ employees
  • Strong Customer Service skill set and experience
  • Excellent organizational and time management
  • Ability to work evening shifts and weekends
  • Ability to hold team members accountable while fostering growth
  • Experience in cultivating a people centric sales culture
