    Colonial Pipeline is the largest refined products pipeline in the United States, transporting more than 100 million gallons or 2.5 million barrels per day. Colonial transports various grades of gasoline, diesel fuel, home heating oil, jet fuel, and fuels for the U.S. military through a pipeline system. Colonial transports approximately 45 percent of all fuel consumed on the East Coast, providing refined products to more than 50 million Americans.

    **About the** **Team Lead,** **SCADA** **Position**

    The Team Lead for SCADA will be the leading member of the SCADA operations support team, by providing support, direct guidance, and leadership to SCADA team members, customers, supporting departments, as well as external resources. The Team Lead will have extensive experience in the administration, management, maintenance, and support of a liquid pipeline SCADA system. These actions include, but are not limited to, PLC (or other device) configuration, custom tools/applications, HMI design, server maintenance, system patches/upgrades, and system enhancements. This position supervises other employees, and is expected to successful in resolving conflict, team building and managing performance, to include but not limited to provide clear expectations, monitor goals, hold employees accountable, reward and recognize employees as well as coach, motivate and discipline employees when necessary.

    + Serve as SME on critical SCADA operations support tasks and issue resolution, which include providing a plan of action, requirements, and identifying any potential roadblocks or issues.

    + Lead project activities which include planning, design, development, installation, testing, and commissioning of SCADA database records and displays.

    + Lead SCADA system maintenance activities: collaborating with all necessary parties to safely plan, document, and execute any necessary updates, reboots, backups, and tests.

    + Create new or enhance current SOPs to provide a clear and strong model for implementation processes to maintain standards and functionality.

    + Proactively research and collaborate w/ control center or field operations teams to ensure that CPC SCADA will maintain top tier processes and tools.

    + Provide mentorship and guidance to novice team members.

    + Utilize individual SCADA technology and computer programming skills to support Control Center operations while minimizing interruption to SCADA and applications systems.

    + Define interface requirements between SCADA applications and other real-time, on-line, and batch application processes throughout the company.

    + Provide planning and support for regular end-to-end audit and verification of SCADA point functionality, alarms, system performance, and security.

    + Participate in the design, development and administration of SCADA and applications software standards and documentation.

    + Perform SCADA updates and maintenance as need to improve and maintain optimal functioning.

    + Work with field technicians, other analysts, and engineers to analyze problems related to instrumentation, RTUs, PLCs, computers, human machine interface, communication equipment, and software related to the SCADA system.

    + Perform after hours duty as required to resolve SCADA system or application problems.

    + Performs other assignments as necessary to implement departmental goals.

    **What You Bring to the Table:**

    + Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology,or related field of study from an accredited college or university; will consider a combination of experience and/or education such as 12+ years of SCADA experience within the liquid pipeline industry in lieu of a related degree.

    + Ideally8+ years in a technical SCADA role with advanced knowledge of commonly used SCADA software systems (e.g., AVEVA, Ignition, ClearSCADA) and to includeapproximately 3+ yearsof experienceof leading teams (internal or contractor) in the execution of large-scale SCADA system projects.

    + Must be able to identify and perform duties as needed w/o direct leadership or guidance.

    + Ability to work extended hours as required; emergency call out during weekends / nighttime as needed.

    + A change agentby supporting change and focusing on continuously improving on what, and how work is done.

    **Got Extra to Bring** **?**

    + Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other related field of study from an accredited college or university.

    + Ideally 10+ years of experience in a senior SCADA role in a liquid pipeline environment. Advanced knowledge of AVEVA SCADA software.

    + SCADA Certification (e.g., Aveva)

    + Applicable knowledge ofMQTT protocol, VM server management, PI Historian.

    + Experience with midstream and pipeline companies in a technology role.
