Specifications Writer Responsibilities

Work closely with project managers and project architects in the preparation of specifications and the development of complete Project Manuals using CSI Divisions 00 through 1
Coordinate with project managers to ensure appropriate specification formatting and inclusion of specifications from outside disciplines.
Prepare and coordinate packages to be bid
Ensure coordination and compliance with drawings, for accuracy and completeness.
Support research of new materials, products, assemblies, and systems as needed for project.
Become familiar with office standards and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

Experience working closely with architects
Minimum 3 years' experience writing CSI format architectural specifications
Experience with SpecLink or similar specifications software
Familiarity with Massachusetts public bidding (Chapter 149) not required, but desirable
Strong technical skills
Ability to work both independently and on a team
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture preferred, Bachelor's degree minimum
CSI, CDT, or CCS certifications a plus

Job Type

Parttime with potential to become Fulltime

Work Location

Must be able to commute to Danvers, MA.
