Landscape Estimator

Roles and Responsibilities

The Landscape Estimator (LE) reports directly to the Owner and assists in onsite assessments and estimates of landscaping and contracting services for Imperial Landscaping (IL).

Such estimates include those for tree removal, weed control, fertilization, mulching, mosquito control, irrigation, lawn mowing, shrub trimming, fall/spring cleanup services, French drains, paver patios, decks and fences, interior remodeling, aeration/seeding, and custom jobs as requested by the client.

The LE works closely with the Administrator, who receives client requests for estimates and schedules them in the landscaping business software.

Once the LE arrives at the client site, they use their own experience as well as training on IL standard processes to create the necessary cost drivers, units, and total cost for the client; such as those for mulching and cleanup.

They then send the results to the Administrator, who creates the final estimate for the client for negotiation, approval, and scheduling.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of landscaping and contracting operations.
• Able to conduct a thorough site analysis.
• Able to calculate related quantities for soil, plants, mulch, labor, and other materials.
• Proficient in contacting and coordinating with job vendors.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Enjoys challenges and problem solving, working with and meeting clients, and making sales.
• Honest, courteous, and professional.
• Enjoys meeting clients, listening and understanding their needs, and delivering a valueadded solution while getting to know them and enriching their experience with IL overall.
