Description
CAD Designer/ Additive Manufacturing Specialist with extensive knowledge and experience in sheet-metal and plastic part design. Experience in 3D modeling and detail/assembly drawing.


Duties:


  • Update and revise existing drawings and models based on changes in design specificationsor manufacturing requirements.
  • Create all necessary deliverables for engineering release including bill of material (BOM),and then release BOM for procurement.
  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to understand project requirements andspecifications.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing and assembly teams during the productionprocess, addressing any designrelated issues that arise.
  • Program and operate 3D printers for prototyping as well as short production runs.


This is a "do it all" position, you should know your way around a shop and how to create things with your own hands.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in mechanical engineering or MET or equivalent working experience in thefield described.
  • Computer aided design (CAD) skills, preferably with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with 3D printing, FDM and SLA.
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and possess strong communicationskills, verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask and organize/prioritize job assignments in a rapidly changing, shortturnaround environment.
  • Ability to use standard precision measuring/inspection equipment.
  • Ability to think creatively and bring ideas to the table.
  • Reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of fabrication techniques required to build in sheetmetal, metal and plastic.
  • Ability to program and troubleshoot CNC plasma cutting machines.
  • Knowledge of printed circuit board design.
