- Master's degree in Social Work or related field
- Education in child growth and development.
- Experience in providing family therapy.
- Hospital & Pediatric experience (preferred).
- LMSW, LCSW, or LPC licensure within the state of Texas.
- Qualified QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional) by the Texas Department of Health.
- CPR Heartsaver within 60 days of start date.
- CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention - Units 1-7 & 9-10 plus the CPI Childrens Control Position from Unit 8 or must be completed within 60 days of start date.

Summary:
The Family/Intake Therapist will provide intake assessments in the Emergency Department and over the phone to determine the appropriate level of care and treatment. Provides family assessments, family therapy, crisis intervention, and telephone triage for psychiatric inpatients, PHP, ER, and discharged patients. Participates in group therapy, multi-disciplinary treatment, diagnostic conferences, and diagnostic interviews. Provides case management services for all patients. Manages patient's mental health benefits and keeps informed of all information regarding the patient's treatment and their payor. Available for Intake on-call on an as-needed basis.
