Job Description:
This position is accountable for supporting and maintaining the Environmental Health and Safety ("EHS") programs, activities, and control measures for the site, as well as coordinating these efforts with various compliance programs, to protect all personnel and physical assets.
This position helps ensure compliance with all occupational health, safety, and environmental requirements under federal, state, and local law and regulations.
Responsibilities include:
Process Safety Management supports, EHS support for R&D facilities
External warehousing and tolling activities in APAC region, specifically in Singapore
Ensure compliance with applicable local/international regulatory requirements and internal EHS programs in Singapore
Engage with Singapore Leadership Team on country EHS programs, goals, and objectives
Lead Incident Management Program, including investigation and data analysis for improvement focus
Ensure Audit action items and incident investigation follow-up actions are documented and closed
Lead and coordinate all EHS/PSM Audits, including Safety Management System audits
Maintain ISO14001, 45001, and SS651 certifications at sites
Lead Major Hazards Installation programs and other safety reviews
Establish annual EHS training calendar and provide necessary training for employees
Conduct regular fire fighting drills and evacuation drill for emergency preparedness
Coordinate implementation of behavioral safety training and other Corporate EHS initiatives
Establish monthly Site Safety committee meeting for robust EHS engagement
Establish regular EHS campaigns to elevate EHS engagement at the site
Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
Must have an associate's degree or higher or two (2) years of work experience in environmental, health, and safety
Preferred Qualifications:
Completed formal training and/or have at least one (1) year of work experience applying continuous improvement tools
At least one (1) year experience working in a manufacturing or distribution facility
Prior work experience managing industrial safety standards
At least one (1) year of work experience in environmental, health, and safety
Prior work experience using a safety management system
Developing training materials and conducting training
Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental, Health & Safety, Engineering, or Business
Additional Responsibilities:
Provide EHS oversight and support for significant Capex projects
Support EHS due diligence review of new business acquisition/tolling activities in the Region
Support site EHS in Business Continuity Planning (BCP)
Help develop strategic and annual goals, objectives, and programs towards Zero vision - injury prevention, regulatory compliance, and cultural transformation as a member of the regional EHS Team
