    Position: Purchasing Manager

    Industry: Homebuilding

    Location: Plano, TX

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead the recruitment, hiring, evaluation, training, development, and retention efforts for a high-performing and engaged purchasing department team.
    • Verify the accuracy of option requests and change orders, ensuring they are processed in accordance with company guidelines within the department.
    • Collaborate with partners on product development and value engineering initiatives to select cost-effective standard and upgrade options for the community, while continuously assessing for enhancements.
    • Collaborate closely with land development, the design studio, options, sales, construction, customer care, trade partners, and other team members to ensure alignment with community standards.
    • Develop effective purchasing systems to ensure cost-effective and timely contracting of trade partners.
    • Negotiate and resolve contract changes.
    • Ensure accuracy of invoices .

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree
    • 3+ years in homebuilding purchasing management
    • Leadership experience
