Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 different professions who want to grow and improve with us.

We are currently seeking candidates for a 3-year apprenticeship as a train driver (railway employee in operational service, specializing in train driving and transportation) (m/f/d) for DB Regio AG at our location in Kaiserslautern.

The vocational school is located in Homburg (Saar).

During your apprenticeship, you will:

  • Learn how to safely and punctually drive trains from point A to point B
  • Gradually gain the skills to drive trains on your own, with the support of your trainers
  • Experience a variety of routes through nature, cities, and train stations with the best views
  • Learn how to inform passengers of any changes or deviations in train operations through the loudspeaker
  • Gain knowledge on how to prepare and assemble trains for their journeys


After completing your apprenticeship, you will be an essential part of our team, providing our passengers with environmentally conscious travel.

  • You have (or will soon have) successfully completed school
  • You enjoy working with technology
  • You can remain calm and organized in difficult situations
  • You are not afraid to take on responsibility and make decisions
  • Working on weekends and holidays is not a problem for you
  • You are reliable and able to handle stress
