Summary:

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in operating a variety of machines to manufacture parts or products by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):

Inspects product to verify conformance to specifications
Studies production schedules and estimates worker requirements for completion of job assignment.
Interprets company policies to works and enforces safety regulations.
Interprets specifications and assigns duties.
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of workers.
Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
Maintains time and production records.
Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities.
Performs activities of workers supervised.
Responsible for product safety, legality, regulatory compliance and product quality.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages approximately 100 to 150 employees during the production season. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems, and the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of this unit.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
