    Job Title: Construction Superintendent (Ground-Up Commercial Experience)

    Location: Rochester, NY

    Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent with a robust background in ground-up commercial projects to join our team in Rochester, NY. The successful candidate will initially oversee projects in the healthcare and education sectors, ensuring that all construction activities align with our standards for quality, safety, and efficiency.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee all phases of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
    • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
    • Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and contracts.
    • Manage the procurement and scheduling of materials and equipment.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues that arise.
    • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and internal team members.
    • Maintain detailed project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
    • Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure high standards of workmanship.
    • Facilitate problem-solving and decision-making processes on-site to keep projects on track.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent in the commercial sector.
    • Proven experience managing ground-up construction projects with budgets exceeding $5,000,000.
    • Strong background in healthcare and education construction projects is highly desirable.
    • Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
    • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
    • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of construction.

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
