RESPONSIBLEFOR:
Facilitating patient care by assisting thephysician during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiplespecialties, performing technical and some patient care dutiesunder the direction of a Registered Nurse.
Functions as a clinicalspecialist across numerous service specialty lines. Assumesadditional responsibilities for maintaining surgical specialties asnecessary and serves as a resource. Functions on a more globallevel and is more involved in detailed surgical endeavors relatedto the surgery department.Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATIONREQUIRED:
High School Diploma or GED and
Graduate of a Surgical TechnologyProgram.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:
Three years of surgical technologistexperience.
MINIMUMLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BYLAW:
N/A
ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS:
Certification as a SurgicalTechnologist Required.
BLS certificationrequired.
