We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Ledger (GL) Accountant to enhance our accounting operations team.


As a GL Accountant at Tessenderlo Kerley, you will have the opportunity to engage with a dynamic team and contribute to our financial accuracy and integrity.


As a GL Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Executing monthly accounting tasks such as accruals, journal entries and general ledger reconciliations using SAP.
  • Assisting with monthend close processes and enhancing workflow efficiencies.
  • Managing payroll accounting duties and reconciliations, including analysis related to various incentive plans.
  • Participating in the implementation of accounting standards (US GAAP, IFRS) and policy updates.
  • Ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial reports and transaction analysis.
  • Reconciling corporate transactions, including credit cards, daily banking activities and treasury operations.
  • Conducting SG&A expense reviews to identify budget variances.
  • Providing analytical support for special projects and internal reporting.
  • Supporting annual audits and financial information management.
  • Innovating and recommending process improvements to enhance our accounting practices.

Qualifications Who You Are**:


  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and have at least three years of relevant experience.
  • You are proficient with SAP or similar ERP systems, and you're an Excel power user.
  • Your accounting knowledge spans standards, processes, reporting and systems.
  • You demonstrate advanced analytical and problemsolving skills, and pay high attention to detail.
  • You are a strong communicator, capable of working effectively in a diverse team environment.
  • You possess a proactive, handson approach and a resilient, cando attitude.
  • You are comfortable and able to be onsite
  • 5 days a week.
