The Town of Falmouth is currently seeking applicants to fill six (6) summer seasonal Temporary Community Service Representative (Civilian Patrol) positions for our Police Department.

These are civilian, non-sworn, unarmed positions that perform entry level foot patrol and field work under the direction of the Police Shift Commander, often in the following locations: Old Silver Beach, Falmouth Heights Beach, Goodwill Park, Main Street Village, and Woods Hole Village.

These positions also perform various other law enforcement duties of a non-emergency nature as appropriate, assist with traffic flow, enforce Town parking regulations, and report issues that may need police services.

_The Temporary Community Service Representative positions are ideal for applicants interested in criminal justice and/or a career in law enforcement, as t__he Town is willing to train applicants who have no direct experience, but who do have the ability to 1. establish and maintain good working relationships with sworn officers, other employees, and the general public, 2. communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and 3. work independently, make decisions, and use discretion._
The Police Department will provide training in the laws and ordinances that will be enforced, proper radio protocol, Police Department rules and regulations, and any other applicable policies and procedures.

These positions are temporary and work July through September. Some assignments may be longer.

These positions work 40 hours per week, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays, and they will assist with major events, such as the Falmouth Road Race and the annual Falmouth Fireworks Display.

The pay for this position is $21.52/hour for the first season of employment.

Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and this posting will be taken down when the positions are filled.
The Town of Falmouth is proud to be an EEO/AA employer.
