    Sparrow Company, an executive search and staffing firm, is currently looking for a Tax Staff Accountant for a temporary to hire opportunity in downtown El Paso.

    Tax Staff Accountant

    Tax & Financial Accountant 50k-65k

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Prepare corporate tax returns with completeness and accuracy, forms 1120, 1065, 1120s, 1041, and 1040.
    • Assisting with research and planning according to current tax impact of proposed company activities and transactions.
    • Keep track of deadlines and deliverables for multiple clients.
    • Implementing strategies to minimize corporate tax liability in accordance with current tax laws for clients in various industries.
    • Assist with tax planning strategies for clients.
    • Supporting the tax team with task related to federal, state and local taxing authorities.
    • Preparation of financial statements on a Quarterly, Monthly or Yearly basis for various clients as needed.
    • Knowledge of various QuickBooks products.

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Builds strong relationships with clients and colleagues

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance economics is required.
    • 3 years minimum experience with preparation of federal tax returns.
    • 3 years minimum experience with bookkeeping, financial statement preparation.
