- Manage Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables.
- Set up new jobs and maintain job budgets as required by Project Managers.
- Enter and maintain job costs, cost codes, change orders, and purchase orders.
- Request invoices from subs and vendors when necessary.
- Lead vendor and communication when inquiring on invoice/payment status.
- Prepare weekly cost reports.
- Perform month-end reconciliation for bank, credit card, and prepaid insurance.
- Perform month-end cost accounting.
- Invoice/expenses analysis and cost control.
- Oversee accruals and CCIP reporting.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and filing.
- Assist with multi-state tax filing.
- Prepare closing journal entries.
- Maintain electronic vendor and payables files.
- Bachelors in Accounting and/or 2 years of accounting experience in construction-related industry.
- Job costing experience.
- Deltek or similar construction accounting software experience.
- Knowledge in additional accounting + project management/ estimating software is a plus
- CPA is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Effective communication, including, writing, speaking and active listening.

A nationally recognized concrete construction company is currently seeking a Sr. Project Accountant. In this role, you must display a good working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and job cost systems in the construction/concrete industry. You must be able to answer questions from project managers or anyone regarding the status of an accounts payable or receivable invoice. Knowledge of job cost systems in order to provide information/reports to Project Managers and leadership. We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication skills who manages their time effectively to get work completed on schedule.
