Job Purpose and Role:

WRS Health is hiring a Medical Practice Patient Coordinator for Goshen Speech & Hearing Center. This position strongly influences patients' experience and their relationship with the practice. It is an integral part of many work processes that support an optimized and successful medical practice.

Goshen Speech & Hearing Center offers professional audiology and speech-language pathology services in Orange County, NY, and the Greater Hudson Valley.

We provide evaluation and treatment for speech and hearing health in both children and adults.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage multiple schedules for several clinicians
Answer a multiline phone system
Maintain a professional waiting room
Collect copays/deductibles/coinsurance; verify insurance and prior authorizations
Chart check for the patients to ensure we have all applicable test results/imaging prior to patient appointments
Ensure medical documents are complete and accurate
Manage patient intake/ checkin process
Other activities that promote efficient operations of a medical office.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, or other related field
Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred
Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and appointment scheduling software.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Empathetic and patientcentric approach to customer service.
Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance billing, and healthcare regulations.

Benefits:

For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $45, ,000 annually. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
