- Experience in water treatment, operations, maintenance, and water quality.
- Operations and maintenance of multiple groundwater treatment facilities including, maintenance of UVreactors, remedial systems, control and maintenance of chemical metering pumps, booster pump maintenance, performance sampling, water level gauging, and more.
- Record keeping and adjustment of critical values on Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems to optimize system operation.
- Field investigation, sampling, groundwater treatment plant inspections, and data collection. Approximately 100% of travel/field work required which occasionally requires night and weekend shifts.
- Prepare technical reports summarizing field and laboratory findings.
- Data analysis and interpretation of hydrological data.
- Management and maintenance of field equipment.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols to ensure personal safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project needs and address challenges.
- Other duties as assigned.
- HS Diploma required.
- 15+ years of experience with environmental and remediation projects.
- SCADA experience.
- Current OSHA HAZWOPER certification preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Attention to detail, excellent technical abilities, and an ability to quickly learn new skills required.
- Strong problem solving, time management, and verbal/written communication skills required.
- Ability to travel and perform field work (approx. 100% of travel required).
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 50lbs.
- A pre-employment drug screen in compliance with state regulations is required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.

Summary:
Tetra Tech is currently seeking a Remediation Technician with experience in hydrology and remediation. This role is primarily field based with typical tasks including but not limited to; field work planning and preparation, groundwater sampling, soil logging, drilling and monitoring, remedial system operation and maintenance, data compilation, and analysis. The successful candidate will work closely with Senior Scientist and Project Managers on a variety of environmental and remediation projects.
The position is available in the following locations: San Diego, CA, Sacramento, CA, Tucson, AZ, and Phoenix, AZ.
