    Job Summary:

    4-Star Hose and Supply, a Singer Industrial Company, located in Pleasanton, TX is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to drive our sales efforts. They will be responsible for managing all aspects of the sales territory and assigned accounts in the South San Antonio area.

    A successful candidate will meet sales and profitability goals and demonstrate our "customer first" work ethic. They will accomplish this by using their superb sales, customer service, negotiation and relationship building skills. They bring value to our customers by working with our operations team to solve some of industries' most difficult application, logistical and supply chain challenges. This role works closely with inside sales and operations staff to ensure orders are fulfilled in a timely fashion.

We do this with a robust line of fluid power, hose & fittings, belts, seals & gaskets, pneumatic and automation products, and services.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Utilize the 5 stages of the sales process methodology to prospect, qualify, propose product/service plan, facilitate positive decisions, gain new accounts, and expand current accounts within the specified territory.
    • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales & financial goals established by the company.
    • Travel throughout assigned territory to call on assigned and prospective customers to solicit orders and talk with customers in person or by phone. Some overnight travel may be required.
    • Maintain and Utilize Key Tools: Pipeline, Call Reporting, Open Order Reports, etc.
    • Display and demonstrate products that meet the customer's application needs using catalog and marketing materials.
    • Work with Inside Sales Team to develop quotes and prepare sales contracts for new orders.
    • Estimate date of delivery based on information gathered from Inside Sales Team, operational management, current demand on production, and delivery schedules.
    • Provide recommendations of stock levels based upon new business onboarded.
    • Coordinate customer training.
    • Work in a safe and efficient manner.
    • Become a trusted expert in fluid conveying and power transmission applications.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Maintain professionalism in the workplace.
    • Perform any other assigned proprietary duties.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Ability to prioritize and execute work.
    • Highly motivated with strong problem-solving skills
    • Excellent customer service and effective communication skills (written & verbal)
    • Working knowledge of hose application, production and testing equipment and related services.
    • Ability to effectively negotiate without sacrificing quality.
    • Take ownership of responsibilities and Manage Multiple Priorities simultaneously.
    • Inquisitive, ability to learn on the job, and desire to grow with the company.
    • Ability to work in ambiguity as well as in a collaborative environment.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in industrial distribution or business administration preferred but not required.
    • Industrial Hose industry experience required.
    • Familiar with NAHAD Hose Safety Standards required.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
    • Must be able to work outdoors and in the elements year-round as needed.
