Silverhill Media School Babelsberg is offering a one-year technical college program starting in the 2013/14 school year.

This program is aimed at graduates of our vocational school training as well as graduates from other educational institutions who do not yet have a technical college entrance qualification (Fachabitur) but would like to pursue higher education.

The technical college (FOS) is a type of school that, in the states of the Federal Republic of Germany, concludes after the 12th grade with a general technical college entrance qualification.

The FOS is focused on vocational subjects and is therefore considered a vocational school.

The admission requirement for this program is at least a technical college entrance qualification and a completed vocational training of at least two years.

The education takes place in classroom instruction in the subjects of German, English, politics, mathematics, a natural science, physical education, and the main subject of design.

The education ends with a written final exam in the subjects of German, English, mathematics, and design, as well as an oral exam.

The technical college program is completed with a certificate of (general) technical college entrance qualification and qualifies for studies in all subjects at a technical college (FH), university, and sometimes even at a university.
