    Description
    Our client is an entrepreneurial, sustainable snack food manufacturer in the better for you space seeking a Packaging Engineer. This role centers on applying expertise in material science and manufacturing to develop packaging solutions.

    The individual will work with a multidisciplinary team, aiming to innovate and reduce costs, while giving the company a competitive edge.

    The job demands successful management of commercial and operational goals, upholding quality and customer service standards.

    This position is ideal for a creative, motivated, and outcomes-oriented person who thrives in a dynamic, growth-intensive, product-rich, multi-channel consumer goods environment.

    Key responsibilities include driving innovation and operational excellence.


    Client Must-Haves:
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Packaging Engineering, or related field. 5 years of packaging engineering experience in food manufacturing; previous management experience.

    Solid understanding of food packaging processes and equipment and all commonly used materials including paperboard, corrugated, film/flexible laminates, and plastics.

    Knowledge of shelf-life definition as it applies to packaging, seal integrity (COF, sealing thresholds, and sealing range).

    Competency in the following software preferred:
    AutoCAD and/or ArtiosCAD, TOPS and/or CAPE. Proven ability to lead packaging projects from concept to commercialization with minimal support.

    This role can be based in Minneapolis or eastern NC and boasts a competitive base salary, bonus, and relocation for the right candidate.
