    Summary


    TaxAct is seeking a Product Manager that is responsible for delivering business outcomes by solving customer problems in a manner that is valuable to customers, usable by our customers, feasible with our technology, and viable within our business model.

    Duties And Responsibilities

    Major responsibilities of the position are listed below. To perform the job successfully, the individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

    Drives problem discovery, definition, and prioritization.
    Defines a clear end state for their product and strategy to make it real.
    Plays Product Owner role within the Scrum team.
    Drives customer research.
    Works directly with customer support, marketing, other stakeholders, and end users to ensure products meet users in a way that delivers business outcomes
    Manages team relationship with product leadership and stakeholders.
    Ability to analyze user data for trends and issues in order to identify opportunities
    Other job duties as required.

    Education And Experience

    2-5 years of Product Management work experience in a tech company, financial services company, or equivalent experience.
    Demonstrated knowledge of the scrum development process
    Demonstrated knowledge of the practice of design thinking

    Demonstrates strong problem solving, organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to evolve product strategy based on research, data, and industry trends.

    Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Product Development – Understands how designers craft customer experiences, how developers bring those experience to life, and how the product manager can support them.

    Product Delivery – Knows how to support development and marketing partners in the delivery of a product into the market.

    Product Optimization – Demonstrated awareness of, and experience in, techniques for incrementally enhancing a product once it is launched.

    People Skills


    Collaboration – Ability to establish relationships of mutual respect with teammates, stakeholders, and leaders, so that all parties trust the product manager and look to them for context on the problems to be solved.

    Evangelism – Can effectively communicate the vision for a product and inspire others to want to make that vision a reality.

    Leadership – Demonstrated ability to influence and inspire others to action without having direct authority over those individuals.

    Physical Demand & Work Effort

    Keying/typing, standing, walking
    Sitting for an extended period
    Constant mental and/or visual attention; the work is either repetitive or diversified requiring constant alertness in an office environment
    The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during the normal performance of the job
