Eye problems are some of the most common reasons owners bring their pet to the veterinarian. Specific eye problems can be challenging to diagnose and treat, which is where our Ophthalmology service steps in. Our services and medical equipment mirror what one would find at a human medical center. Our Ophthalmologist's focus is to improve our patient's quality of life by providing effective treatment and support services.
Our Ophthalmology Veterinary Technician:
As a Certified Veterinary Technician and a member of our Ophthalmology team, you will be responsible for providing care to patients in conjunction with our Ophthalmologist.
Responsibilities of the technician include exam rooms, diagnostics, prescription management, client education, anesthetic/surgical procedures, safe patient handling, and other duties as assigned.
Schedule:
Full-time opportunity with flexible scheduling. Either 3 x 11s (Thursday- Saturday) or 4x 10s (Wednesday - Saturday).
Compensation:
$ /hr. Pay based on experience and licensure.
Required qualifications include Certified (or eligible) Veterinary Technician in Oregon. Previous experience with companion animal anesthesia (dog/cat), diagnostic imaging, operating room procedures, and post-operative care.

The hospital was built in 1999 as a 10,000 square foot facility but it quickly grew out of that building.
