    Job Summary

    As a Veterinary Technician, you play a crucial role in delivering exceptional care to animals. Your responsibilities include assisting veterinarians, educating clients, and ensuring compassionate patient care.

    Key Responsibilities

    Main Accountabilities:

    • Assist in the examination, treatment, and monitoring of animals under veterinary supervision
    • Prepare and analyze laboratory samples
    • Assist in surgical procedures and provide post-operative care
    • Educate clients on animal care, wellness plans, and medication administration
    • Maintain accurate medical records and hospital equipment
    • Manage inventory and support overall hospital operations
    • Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve client issues

    Customer Service Delivery:

    • Provide professional, efficient service to clients
    • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and adaptability
    • Resolve customer complaints effectively

    Other:

    • Adhere to OSHA standards and perform assigned duties

    Required Skills and Knowledge

    Skills:

    • Stay updated on veterinary advancements
    • Work independently and multitask effectively
    • Remain focused and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
    • Exhibit proactive problem-solving skills
    • Demonstrate accountability and learn new software systems

    Experience in:

    • Handling animals and providing basic care
    • Knowledge of veterinary procedures and medical terminology
    • Understanding of medication administration
    • Strong customer service and communication skills

    Education and Experience

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Certification, registration, or licensing required
    • Minimum 1 year of veterinary hospital experience

    Work Location, Environment, and Physical Requirements

    • Onsite position at our hospital
    • Hospital environment with specific physical demands
    • Flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
    • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform various physical tasks
    • Exposure to biological hazards and medical substances
