Ministry HR Group is a Texas-based HR Consulting firm focusing on providing inviting, biblical Human Resources solutions for non-profit organizations who have strong core values and engaging, caring cultures.
We support specialized HR programs such as Statement of Faith alignment, Biblical conduct expectations, ministerial exceptions, sabbatical leave, parsonage compensation, Christian health benefit programs and more.
We are seeking a Fractional HR Director for 10-25 hours per week to fulfill HR leadership roles for Christian organizations.
We support all areas of Human Resources for our clients, including recruiting, hiring, compensation, benefits, training and development, performance management, employee engagement, policies and compliance, Christian ministry guidance, and more.
This role balances many areas to be successful: warmth within guidelines; ministry within government laws; truth and kindness; time, quality and cost; and client needs with best practices.
Please note that this position is part time, non-exempt, and mostly remote with on-site meetings in Tyler and Dallas, Texas.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIESMinimum of 5 years in HR Director role, including leading change in all areas of HRMinimum of 5 years of HR experience at a Christian ministry organizationMinimum of 4 years of HR leadership experience in a corporate settingBachelors degree in Human Resources or Business Leadership, or equivalent HR experienceHold a current US-based Professional HR certification (SHRM or HRCI preferred)Consulting experience is preferredProven ability to lead full cycle of HR programsProven ability to coach and guide Executives on best people practicesExcellent verbal and written communication and group presentation skillsDesire and ability to learn new ways of addressing HR issuesProven ability to innovate and create new programsAbility to consistently provide high quality, detailed and accurate work productHigh social intelligence and ability to discern appropriateness of performance and behavior and coach others to do the sameAbility to lead by example with positive and professional behavior in every situationAbility to accurately apply Biblical references and principles in HR coaching, materials and communicationConsistently maintain a Professional Remote Office and appearanceMust maintain a home address within in the state of Texas, within 200 miles of Tyler, TX and Dallas, TX
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESProvide Fractional HR Consulting to Christian ministry clients within a welcoming, inviting HR cultureAdopt the Ministry HR Group toolkit and programs to support clientsWork with client Leadership to develop and implement HR Strategies and programs, focusing on reinforcing the clients' cultural values and objectivesConduct HR needs analysis, create HR Strategic Plans, and lead full cycle HR programs to include Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, Compensation, Benefits, Performance Management, Employee Engagement, Policy Development, Training and Development, Succession Planning, Organizational Development and Change ManagementOversee assigned HR team and projects to accomplish set client objectivesProvide coaching and advising at all levels, on key people issues and complianceIdentify key performance indicators for the human resources functions; assess the organization's success and market competitiveness based on these metricsAlways be learning, innovating, creating, and reaching for new ways to engage people in the client missionProvide in-house advice and support to Ministry HR Group team membersActively participate in Ministry HR Group meetings and community
